Football

Big day out in the Nepean FNL, with some big results. Tyabb were competitive up until half time, then Devon Meadows ran away with the game winning by 71 points. Sorrento dished out a football lesson to Crib Point at the Magpies home ground to the tune of 136 points, Rosebud jumped back onto the winner’s list with a 48 point win over Somerville at home, a young Rye side were just too good for Pearcedale notching up their first win of the year by 23 points, up at the Red Hill showgrounds Frankston won in a thriller, getting over Red Hill by 8 points and in the last game, Hastings flexed their muscles and made sure last week was a once off defeating Dromana by 101 points.

Netball

A mixed bag of results in the netball this weekend. Rye won another close game, this time by a point over Pearcedale at home, Tyabb made it two wins in a row defeating Devon Meadows by 29 points,┬áthe scenes were reversed on the netball court between Crib Point and Sorrento with the Magpies inflicting a 70 point loss to the young sharks, Red Hill enjoyed the home court advantage and got the better of Frankston by 26 points and Rosebud just couldn’t match it with a strong Somerville going down by 27 points.
