Football

In Round 5 there were certainly some big wins had across the league, and it all started with the men from the hill that is red or Red Hill who took a trip down to the Yabbie pond and won convincingly by 102 points, Hastings and Crib Point played a cracking local derby with things pretty close in the first half for only the Blues to run away with a 81 point win, in the Matthews Cup between Dromana and Rosebud, it was the men in the navy blue who took the 4 points with a 56 point win, Devon Meadows inflicted Somerville’s second loss of 2017 winning by 8 points at home, Pearcedale need to find their early season form soon as they lost their third game in a row, this time to the Sorrento powerhouse by 116 points and in the last game of the round the baby Dee’s couldn’t back up last week’s win going down to switched on Frankston Bombers side by 95 points.
